When Lily’s father confesses to his daughters that the family is under threat, she hardly has time to freak out before commandos come barging into her room and carry her right out of her house.

Overly protected by her wealthy father, she rarely leaves the house, has no friends other than her also overly-protected elder sister, and is content to be in her room, losing herself in the books that she adores (it’s no wonder I instantly loved her!). “The person who just saved your life, baby.”Ģ2 year old Delilah (Lily), lives a sheltered life. It’s something completely different, and it’s awesome. Both title and cover are incredibly deceptive, it’s not a book about a person being held against their will, or abused in any way at all. You will have to excuse me because I have gone completely quote crazy in my review, but you will clearly see that I had no choice 😛įirst off, I have to say that despite the title Willing Captive, and the ominously graphic cover, this is, in NO way, a dark book. It’s surprising, it’s hilariously funny, it broke my heart, it made me swoon and squee like an absolute idiot, and has an amazing love story.
